AGI and the UN Millennium Goals…

Some of you may know that our current catalog is organized in accordance with the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. Every time a person discovers our catalog or our website, and selects an alternative gift, the cycle of alternative gifting is repeated and the world is improved. Each simple gift provides joy, curiosity, compassion, appreciation, hope and new life. How can one gift encompass all of these things?

Joy – for the giver. AGI shoppers/donors actually enjoy this experience. 
 

Curiosity and appreciation—Recipients are amazed or appreciative about the unique selection.
 

Compassion—Empathy is a powerful tool when students, volunteers or recipients can learn about the needs of others through the information provided about each project.
 
 Hope—This is a basic need for people to be healed and survive through poverty and crises.
 
 New Life—Such change occurs when connecting people who want to help, with people who can help, for people who need help.
