AGI donors can be assured that their gifts are used wisely and is designated for relief and development for people in need. Since each project in My Shopping List for the World represents an urgent and specific need, this gift category provides the ‘fairness’ factor. When the fiscal year draws to a close and the designated gifts are tallied and distributed, there are always a few agencies whose projects were not funded as well as others. To assure that all projects are adequately funded, AGI applies gifts from “Where Needed Most” to the least funded projects. This gift category is attractive to many donors who may not have a preference about which project to support, but believe deeply in AGI’s mission.
